A Madison County woman received a wild wake up call. Mary Miller was having her morning cup of coffee when she spotted a 3 foot iguana lounging on her neighbors' roof.

Miller called the police and then the homeowner, John Sowders, who wasn't quite sure what to think. The iguana is now in custody of Richmond Police but it wasn't an easy job getting the feisty reptile off the roof.

Sgt. Reardon says after 20 years in law enforcement, this isn't something he's ever dealt with before and it's one call he won't soon forget.

Police hope the iguana's owner will call them to claim him. If not, they'll try to find him a good home.
