Pepper spray used on student to break up fight at school

A school officer used pepper spray to stop a fight in the halls of a high school.

A Fayette County schools spokesperson says eight students were fighting at Bryan Station High School Tuesday morning, possibly over an iPod.

A security officer used pepper spray on a 16-year-old freshman, because he was reportedly out of control.

Paramedics checked the student on the scene. Officers then charged him with disorderly conduct.

Two teachers, who were hit trying to break up the fight, were also checked at the scene.
