LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The family of a Louisville teenager whose feet were cut off during an amusement park ride last month says the girl has returned to a Tennessee hospital for further surgery.

A spokesman for Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, says 13-year-old Kaitlyn Lasitter is in stable condition at the center.

Doctors there were able to reattach the girl's right foot after the June 21st accident but could not save the left foot. She was released from the hospital two weeks ago.

Her parents, Randall and Monique Lasitter, said in a statement released by the hospital that they "still aren't sure of the fate of our daughter's right leg."

The family sued Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Jefferson County Circuit Court earlier this month.
