Suspected armed robbers arraigned on long list of charges

Lexington police say the two people arrested for the two separate armed robberies have been a thorn in the side of police for some time.
Now it's becoming clear what they mean by that.

Police say they have been looking for 27 year old Justin Morris and his get-away driver, 27 year old Jessica Lee Bryant, since the robbery of a Microtel Hotel on the last day of February.

According to police documents, Morris went into the lobby pointed a gun at the clerk and stole $573 and then hopped in a car with Bryant behind the wheel. A crime he would later confess to police.

The next day after the hotel robbery, Police say Morris robbed the C&C Pharmacy in Lexington, stealing more than 1000 Oxycontin pills and $120.

He was caught thanks to a news viewer's tip and fingerprints from the scene.

Police also found 12 fake five dollar bills, forged checks, and stolen credit cards on Morris.

They have charged him with 2 counts of robbery, a failure to appear from August of 2009, traffic violations, fraudulent use of a credit card, criminal possession of a controlled substance, trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia, and 3 counts of theft.

Bryant has been charged with 2 counts of robbery, and various traffic violations.

Both have pleaded not guilty.
