Parents Donate Daughter's Organs To Cincinnati Hospital

CINCINNATI (AP) - A Cincinnati hospital received a record organ donation from the body of a 14-year-old northern Kentucky girl who died in an auto accident last week.

Heather Lynn Evan's family chose to donate seven of the girl's organs in order to create something good out of a tragedy. It's the most ever for the Children's Hospital Medical Center.

The donation will benefit six people facing life-threatening diseases, LifeCenter Organ Donor Network spokeswoman Andi Johnson said.

She would not specify which organs the girl gave.

Evans' died Tuesday, a day after a tractor-trailer carrying steel plates ran a red light in Alexandria, Ky. and broad-sided the pickup truck carrying Evans, her mother and her brother.
