Suspected Shoplifters Busted After Weekend Stealing Spree

Updated: Thu 11:25 PM, Aug 16, 2007

A Louisville couple racked up thousands of dollars from nearly a dozen stores in Lexington; after hitting Fayette Mall and Hamburg.
Just one problem, the weekend shopping spree was illegal.

Police arrested Kevin Sneed and Kimberly Starks Saturday in Hamburg; after they say the couple roughed up a security guard at Old Navy.

Police found 35-hundred dollars worth of merchandise from eleven stores in the couple's car.

Officers also found a homemade tool to remove security tags from clothing.

Both Sneed and Starks are charged with robbery.
