Alleged 'cross-dressing robber' indicted

A man accused of robbing several businesses, while dressed as a woman, has been indicted.

Earlier this week, the Madison County grand jury indicted 40-year-old Troy Lear on two counts of first-degree robbery.

Police say Lear robbed a hotel in Richmond late last year, and a bank in Berea back in January.

He's also accused of robbing a check cashing business in Danville.

Lear was arrested outside a Berea restaurant in January.

Police say in each robbery, Lear wore a wig and make-up.
