Rash Of Copper Thefts And Vandalism Keeping Morehead Police Busy

Updated: Thu 7:22 AM, Aug 02, 2007

A rash of copper thefts and vandalism have been keeping police in one eastern Kentucky city busy.

Officers say vandals broke into this concession stand, at Morehead's Greenhill City Park.

It's the same place where just a month ago, someone went into the restrooms with a hammer and destroyed the fixtures.

In another case, police say someone stole 1,000 feet of copper wire at a construction site, not long after it had been installed.

Morehead police have not made arrests in either case, but they have added patrols around construction sites around Morehead.
