Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
Clark County Sheriff's deputies and Kentucky State Police are investigating the deaths of three men found inside a home late Sunday.
Investigators tell 27 NEWSFIRST the case is being investigated as a triple homicide.
The bodies were found around 11:30 p.m. inside a home on Pine Ridge Road. That's in the Pilot View community, near the Powell County line.
We're told the home belongs to 23-year-old Clayton Edge. Late Monday afternoon, the Clark County coroner confirmed Edge, along with 24-year-old Robert Reese, and 21-year-old Dustin Browning were killed.
The coroner also says each victim died from a single gunshot wound.
The sheriff says the discovery was made by some friends of the victims who had come to the home.
"Everybody came to the door, slamming on the door," neighbor Margaret Stamper said. "We went outside, everybody was saying Clayton's dead, there was blood everywhere. We said 'Clayton, our next door neighbor?' And they said, 'Yes.'"
Stamper says her family called 911 for help.
Police spent much of the day on the scene, with Edge's family standing nearby.
None of the neighbors we spoke with heard the sound of gunshots.
State police say so far, they have not made any arrests, and they do not have any suspects.
