The Kentucky Department of Transportation routinely inspects the state's 14,000 bridges every two years.
Thursday, a team of inspectors were checking the super structure of the U.S. 62 Tyrone Bridge on the Anderson-Woodford County line.
Officials say the team looks for excessive ware, rust and deterioration, in other words, anything that could cause the bridge to be unstable or insufficient.
Inspectors don't expect to find any major defects on the Tyronne Bridge, but we should know the results of the inspection within the next few weeks.
