Police search for escapees

A search is underway for two escapees who are on the run.

The two men walked away from the Career Development Center in Frankfort late Tuesday night.

William Johnson, 23, and James Johnson, 27, were both being held on theft charges.

Police believe they could be in the Powell County area, because James Johnson is from there.

The Career Development Center is a minimum security facility. Many of the inmates there leave during the day on work details or job training.

Corrections officials say both William Johnson, and James Johnson, who are not related, walked away sometime Tuesday night.

They were reported missing around 10 p.m.

James Johnson would have been eligible for parole in June, and William Johnson would have been eligible in November.
