Out Of The Ashes; Downtown Frankfort Rebuilds

Video will be available shortly

A fire ripped through downtown Frankfort last March devastating several historic buildings in St. Clair Mall.

Fire officials say it was deliberately set by Stephen Malcolm. Nearly five-months after the fire many businesses are still struggling to get back on their feet.

Some of the businesses including the Downtown Bar were completely gutted this week. But owner's say they do plan to rebuild to it's original structure.

The first business to re-open since the fire, The Brick Alley, says they're doing well but business is slow.

Steven Malcolm was scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court Monday, but that hearing was rescheduled.

Malcolm is charged with arson.
