Liberty, Ky. - Kentucky State Police are investigating an injury accident where the driver of the car fled his vehicle following the crash leaving a passenger trapped inside.

The wreck happened Saturday afternoon 12 miles east of Liberty on Kentucky 837. The KSP reports 41-year-old Troy Carman lost control of his vehicle, struck a tree and went over an embankment. Carman then fled the scene, leaving his passenger, 39-year old Ronald Rowe, trapped inside. Police say Rowe had to be pried from the vehicle and transported to the Casey County Hospital.
