Big Blue fans happy despite losing sleep

It was a late night for UK fans.

The Cats didn't tip off until 10 Thursday night, so that left many fans with a Big Blue hangover.

Despite losing sleep, the excitement of the win was still evident.

Many UK fans in Syracuse started Friday morning by planning their day.

With no games being held at the Carrier Dome Friday, UK fans say they will enjoy their day off.

"Once we got some sleep under our belts, we felt a little better today," UK fan Bob Nold said. "It was a very exciting game last night, and Cornell kind of came back on us in the second half. We are looking forward to a good game tomorrow against West Virginia and hope that we can hang in there and go to Indy. That's the goal."

Tickets are still available for Saturday night's game between Kentucky and West Virginia. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

You can watch the game live on WKYT. A special edition of 27 NEWSFIRST will follow the game, complete with Coach Cal's post game comments.
