Campaign To Stop Drunk Driving Targets Hispanic Community

A group is Lexington is continuing its campaign to convince people not to drink and drive.

They're targeting the Hispanic community, as organizers say many anti-drunk driving campaigns have targeted other groups in the past.

"Angelitos en Accion" has bought two billboards. One, on New Circle Road, is in Spanish. The other, on Versailles Road, is in English.

The organizer of the group, Ana Luna, lost her daughter in an accident five years ago, that was caused by a drunk driver.

She says it's important for the group's message to get across to the Hispanic community.

The group also held a event in Cardinal Valley park Sunday, designed as an alternative to drinking.
