Alcohol suspected in crash

Chaotic moments played out early Monday following a crash that police say was caused by a drunk driver.

A passerby saw the pickup truck crashed in the middle of Russell Cave Road in Bourbon County.

After calling police, officers found the driver hiding in some weeds and arrested him.

However, prior to that, police say two passengers injured in the crash hitchhiked their way to the hospital in Cynthiana, where one was eventually airlifted to U.K. Hospital for serious facial injuries.

The other passenger then fled. Police say he was wanted on various warrants. So far, no names have been released.
