A makeshift memorial for a Lexington teenager killed in a terrible accident has been removed.

14 -year old Larry Chowning III died one week ago Monday night, when the car he was driving went off Bryan Station road and hit several fences.

Police say speed was a factor.

Chowning's family and friends had placed signs and other items at the crash site.

Some people who live nearby were concerned people stopping along Bryan Station to see the memorial would cause another accident.
