Six cows are dead after a tractor trailer caught fire overnight.
The fire broke out along I-64 near Midway.

The truck was carrying 58 cows.
A truck from Louisville was called in to haul off the surviving cattle.

Investigators say a rear axle malfunction likely started the fire.

The driver was not injured.
