EKU President Tenders Resignation

Video will be available shortly

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - The president of Eastern Kentucky University has tendered her resignation after interviewing yesterday for the top job at Bradley University.

Chairman Hunter Bates of Eastern's Board of Regents says Joanne Glasser made her intentions known early this morning.

Glasser had been Eastern's tenth president for six years.

Bates says the board will soon be communicating specific plans to the University community to provide for an orderly transition in leadership. He says an interim president will be named shortly and an aggressive national search will be launched for Eastern's next president.
