An eastern Kentucky woman is charged with murder after an accident that killed her 9-month-old baby.
It happened Wednesday on KY 72 in the Blackstar area of Harlan County.
Kentucky State Police say Amy Griffin lost control of her vehicle and overturned.
Griffin and a 5-year-old boy were taken to Harlan ARH, where they were treated for minor injuries.
The 9 month old was flown to Holston Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Griffin was under the influence at the time of the crash. She was charged with murder, DUI and failure to maintain required insurance.
State police say Griffin is the mother of both the baby who died, and the 5-year-old who was injured.
Police also say the vehicle involved in the crash was moved from the scene before troopers arrived.
Sam Griffin and Chester Griffin were arrested for tampering with physical evidence.
