A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
Police say a Kentucky man is very lucky after surviving a serious crash Friday morning that threw him from the wreckage.
It happened just after 8 a.m. in Lincoln County, on U.S. 27 near Waynesburg.
Police say 26-year-old Scott Sims was headed south when he fell asleep at the wheel, ran off the road, and flipped at least three times.
Sims was ejected, but he was able to tell police what happened.
"Well, I couldn't say he doesn't have any major injuries," Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said. "I'm not qualified to make that call, but right now he was talking so that's a good sign for him."
Sims was airlifted to UK Hospital as a precaution.
Traffic was slowed on U.S. 27 for about an hour while the wreckage was cleaned up.
