I-64 reopens following tractor trailer crash

Interstate 64 is back open after an accident involving a semi.

The tractor trailer, which was headed eastbound, overturned near exit 48 in Franklin County, spilling its load of canned goods.

The semi's driver was trapped inside the cab and had to be cut out by rescue workers.

He was airlifted to U.K. Hospital.

The eastbound lanes were closed for about six hours.

The driver's name and condition haven't been released.
