Plant Near Richmond To Hire 100 Workers

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A luxury home appliance manufacturer has announced plans to locate a new factory in Richmond. The company reports it will create an estimated 100 new, full-time jobs and invest $35.5 million in the commonwealth.

Governor Fletcher and Economic Development Cabinet Secretary John Hindman have welcomed Sub-Zero Wolf Incorporated to Kentucky.

The company plans to acquire 45 acres for its 200,000 square-foot facility in Madison County. Madison County Judge-Executive Kent Clark says the company will locate in the Richmond Industrial Park South.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved Sub-Zero Wolf for tax benefits up to $1.5 million under the Kentucky Industrial Development Act, an incentive program designed to attract and expand manufacturing employment in the state.
