Scattered storms will develop into the afternoon hours and a few could be strong or severe. High winds and hail will be the main impacts.
They're just trying to stay fit, but while some gym members are exercising thieves are giving their credit cards a work out!
In early March, Lexington Police received a number of cases where credit cards were being stolen from wallets. The common factor was that all the victims had been at gyms in the Harrodsburg Road area.
"The two main gyms there are the YMCA at Beaumont Center and the Urban Active in the Palomar Center", says Det. Eric Hobson with Lexington Police.
Police say while people are working out, their cards are being taken.
"We don't know if they're working as a team or if an individual is entering the locker rooms and actually stealing wallets out of secure lockers", says Detective Eric Hobson.
So far police have had nine cases where this has happened and at least $35,000 dollars have been spent on the stolen cards. Two men have been caught on camera at a Lexington Best Buy using some of the cards.
Six people were caught on surveillance at a Macy's in Cincinnati using gift cards that had been purchased with the credit cards.
Police say they'd like to put a stop to this theft ring.
