Power Outage In Madison County

A fallen power line caused a major power outage in Madison County on Thursday.

Captain Ken Clark with Berea Police says a crane knocked a 69thousand volt power line down.

It happened near the NAACO Plant who sent home some 400 of their 500 employees do to the lack power for air conditioning.

The outage began around 10:45 Thursday Morning. The two substations which had power restored within 15 minutes, had some residential customers. The other two, which were repaired by 1:30, served only industrial customers.
