Kentucky Power Company Sets New Usage Record

Kentucky Utilities sets another peak usage record.

Yesterday customers used 7,099 megawatts.

Their capacity is 7,200 megawatts.

The only problem KU experienced was an overload that caused an outage to 520 customers in western Kentucky.

Meanwhile, officials at Eastern Kentucky Power, which serves 500,000 customers in parts of 87 counties, anticipates setting a record today.
