GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) - A seven-month-old child who was locked in a hot car while her mother was shopping at a southwestern Kentucky Wal-Mart is reported in good condition today in southwestern Kentucky.
Glasgow police Lieutenant Maxie Murray says two people who passed by the car of Jennifer Roach in the store's parking lot reported to police that a baby inside was crying. Officers opened the car and retrieved the baby. They said the temperature in the car was 115 degrees.
The 28-year-old Roach lives in the Lucas community of Barren County. She's being held in the Barren County Correction Center under a $2,500 bond. Roach is due in court at one o'clock this afternoon.
