The man police say started a fire, that damaged several apartments, is now in custody.

The Lexington Fire Department says 20-year-old Brandon Dockery turned himself in to police Thursday afternoon, after seeing himself on television.

Dockery is now charged with four counts of attempted murder, one count of arson, and 20 counts of wanton endangerment.

At least one woman injured her ankle early Thursday morning after the fire broke out at the Parkway Apartments on Centre Parkway, near Tates Creek Elementary, Middle and High Schools.

The fire destroyed 12 of the building's 36 units.

"My apartment burned," explained Beverly Jackson, who lives in the Parkway Apartments. "We lost everything. We have nothing left."

Those who were displaced were put on board LexTran buses while firefighters investigated.

Residents say a man threw two Molotov cocktails onto the building's roof, sparking the fire. They say he had just been arguing with a woman who lives in the apartment building.

Centre Parkway, which had to be shutdown to school traffic, reopened around 7:30 a.m.
