Bush Elementary School teacher Beth Denman will be honored Thursday evening as teacher of the year for Laurel county. A foundation has also been established in her memory.

Denman was killed last month in a crash on KY-11 in Clay County. She was passionate about helping others in the community. Beth helped with drug rehabilitation and young women with unplanned pregnancies.

Her friends and family have created "Beth's Blessings Memorial Foundation in her honor. The non-profit organization will collect financial contributions and put them towards other organizations that Beth helped with.

Organizations that will benefit from "Beth's Blessings" are Chad's Hope, Heart and Soul, and the Joy Center.

Beth Denman was also named "Teacher of the Year" by the London Chamber of Commerce.
