Forest fire burns nearly 300 acres

Firefighters are struggling to get a fast moving forest fire under control.

They say the fire broke out Friday afternoon, near Cave Run Lake in Rowan County, after a tree fell onto a power line.

The fire has already burned nearly 300 acres, and is still out of control.

Crews have brought in planes to dump water on the fire. They're also asking for a tanker helicopter.

Firefighters say the fire is not threatening any homes so far.
