Posted: Mon 5:46 PM, Aug 13, 2007

There's new information in the murder of a two-year-old Madison County girl.

The Madison County coroner says Callie Robinson died of asphyxiation. The toxicology results are still not in.

The child's mother, 23-year-old Verona Brinegar, as well as 26-year-old Ronald Crabtree are charged with murder.

Court documents show the little girl was badly bruised and had signs of possible sexual abuse when she was found unresponsive in their home.

Callie's 6-year-old brother, Wade, is now in the custody of relatives.
