Duct Tape Bandit Hits and Misses

Video will be available shortly

Police dubbed him the "Duct Tape Bandit," a man who tried to rob an eastern Kentucky liquor store with his head almost entirely wrapped in duct tape.

Police in Boyd County made a quick arrest, but the suspect says it isn't him!

It happened at Shamrock Liquors earlier this week. A man, with duct tape on his head, tried to rob the store.

He was met with some more duct tape, wrapped around a wooden club. Store manager Bill Steele used that club to get the suspect out of the store. He went running into the parking lot where employee Craig Miller tackled him and held him in a choke hold until police arrived.

When police arrived, they cut off the duct tape and identified the "Duct Tape Bandit" as Kasey Kazee.

Kazee claims, in a jail house interview, that police have the wrong man, despite police pictures that may suggest otherwise. He's been charged with first degree robbery.

Police say the tape was not difficult to remove because the suspect was so sweaty.
