RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - A judge has ruled that the cases of a mother and her boyfriend, in the death of the woman's daughter, will go before the grand jury.
23-year-old Verona Brinegar, 26-year-old Ronald Crabtree will go before the grand jury. Each is charged with murder. Brinegar is also charged with tampering with physical evidence.
Officers were called August ninth to investigate a report of an unconscious child.
Richmond police detective Eric Long testified today that the girl was dead when she arrived at the hospital. Long also testified that the girl had burn marks consistent with a cigarette, and had multiple bruises.
