Three Killed In Violent Crash

Three people were killed in a violent head on collision in Lincoln County Wednesday afternoon. It happened along U.S. 127 near Hustonville.

Officials say a Camry and an SUV were headed in the opposite directions around 2:00p.m. when they slammed into each other along a straight stretch of the roadway.

All three people inside the Camry died. The people riding in the SUV were air lifted to U.K. Hospital.

The victims have been identified as 80-year-old Fred E. Roger, Sr., his 80-year-old wife, Lois Rogers, and their 58-year-old son, Fred E. Rogers, Jr.

Friends of the victims' tell 27NEWFIRST they are well known members of the Liberty community in Casey County. We're told Fred E. Roger, Sr. was behind the wheel of the car when it crashed and he may have suffered from a medical problem just before the wreck. Officals say none of the victims' were wearing seatbelts.
