Robbery leads to police chase through downtown

Lexington Police have two men in custody after a chase through downtown Lexington that resulted in a crash. Police believe the men may be responsible for several robberies in the city, including one this morning.
Two men in a Dodge Neon reportedly robbed a man at gunpoint in the parking lot of an apartment on Hollow Creek Drive around 10am Friday morning. Shortly after the robbery police spotted the car believed to be involved and a police chase began. The car crashed at 6th and Broadway. Three other cars were also involved in the crash, no one was seriously injuries.
Police say the two suspects took off on foot after the crash. Officers arrested one at 5th and Addie Alley. Police are also questioning a second person who was taken into custody at 5th and Von Alley.
Lexington authorities say the two men are suspected in several robberies, including two earlier Friday on Georgetown Street.
