Water Shortage Advisory Issued

Kentucky American Water has issued a water shortage advisory for Fayette, Bourbon, Clark, Harrison, Jessamine, Scott and Woodford counties until further notice.

Customers are asked to voluntarily limit their outdoor watering practices, like washing cars, filling pools, and watering lawns.
Residents are asked to only water between 6:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. to 10:00p.m on designated days.

Those designated days to water outside of addresses ending in odd numbers are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
For even numbers those days are Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
All customers are asked not to water outside on Mondays.

In a statement, Kentucky American Water President Nick Rowe says, “Although we are committed to providing quality, unrestricted water service for our customers, we appreciate our customers’ cooperation in reducing their outdoor water usage during these unusually hot, dry conditions in our region.”
