Most new laws in Kentucky to take effect July 15

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Most new laws signed by Gov. Steve Beshear
will take effect on July 15, unless other effective dates are
Legislative Research Commission Director Robert Sherman had
requested that the attorney general's office specify the effective
date. Assistant Attorney General Ryan Halloran released an opinion
Monday, saying that most laws will take effect 90 days after
lawmakers adjourned on April 15.
