A major winter storm is on the way to the bluegrass state. Local high water issues are possible early Wednesday and that will be followed up by heavy snow and sleet. Significant accumulations are likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
A man charged with murdering a mother and her two young children in Eastern Kentucky pleaded guilty Tuesday morning.
Robert Drown entered the plea in a Carter County courtroom.
Drown was arrested in 2007 for the murders of Jennifer Ison, and her daughters Shannah and Marissa.
Their bodies were found inside Ison's burned out home.
Drown's trial had been scheduled to begin next week.
Along with the murder charges, Drown also pleaded guilty to rape and arson.
He's expected to receive a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Drown will be sentenced May 4.
