University of Kentucky tuition hike

Students at the University of Kentucky will be paying more for tuition.

The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees has approved a six percent tuition increase for in-state undergraduates for 2010-11.

The Lexington Herald Leader Reports, despite the tuition increases, UK President Lee T. Todd said UK will have to cut $7.5 million from its proposed budget for next year, which includes sixteen, million in increases for student financial aid and paying for increased utility bills and other fixed costs.
