A major decision Thursday night in Midway to allow a company to bring in a temporary campground for visitors to the World Equestrian Games this fall.
A meeting was held in Midway for the public to speak out on whether or not they wanted a 500 slot temporary camper campground.
Most of the crowd was in favor of the campground and said they believed it would help local businesses and open up their community to people coming to the games.
The company working on the campground, Campers Corners, tried to open a similar ares in Scott County but that effort failed.
Thursday night the Planning and Zoning Commission in Midway accepted the proposal.
The campers will be provided by the company and will be set up on the "Midway Station" property.
Prices will start at $150 a night and a shuttle service will be provided to the games.
