Ex-pastor sentenced in prosecutor's death

FALMOUTH, Ky. (AP) - A one-time pastor at a Cincinnati church
convicted in the drunken driving death of a Kentucky prosecutor has
been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Daniel Keith Gabbard was convicted in January in the death of
Pendleton County Commonwealth's Attorney Doug Wright. Gabbard had
ministered to Uptown Church in downtown Cincinnati.
WCPO-TV in Cincinnati reports that Judge Gregory Bartlett agreed
to a jury's recommendation of a 20-year sentence. Gabbard was
convicted of drunken driving and wanton murder.
Gabbard was driving a tractor-trailer in June 2009 when it
struck a car being driven by Wright. Wright was pronounced dead at
the scene.
