Services set for two Kentucky miners.

Funeral services have been set for two
miners killed in a roof collapse in a western Kentucky mine.
Michael Wayne Carter, 28, of Hanson, is set to be buried Sunday
in Concord Cemetery in Manitou after a 2 p.m. funeral at
Barnett-Strother Funeral Home.
Justin Wayne Travis, 27, of Dixon, will be be buried Monday in
Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon after a 2 p.m. funeral service at
Townsend Funeral Home.
The two men suffered fatal injuries after a roof caved in on
Wednesday at the Dotiki Mine in Webster County. State and federal
officials are investigating the cause of the collapse. The mine
remained closed Friday.
The mine is owned by Alliance Resource Partners, based in Tulsa,
Oklahoma, and is operated by Webster County Coal.
