A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
Officials in Lincoln County declared a state of emergency Sunday afternoon as flood waters continue to rise in many areas. Officials are helping to evacuate some people from their homes.
Many roads are flooded and now impassible.
Reports coming in to 27 NewsFirst are that the New Salem area is the hardest hit and that highway 698 is blocked from 2 directions. Folks living in the area say they are planning to evacuate.
