Flooding problems continue across Central Kentucky

Flooding caused by this weekend's heavy rain continues to cause problems Monday across Central Kentucky.

Officials are urging people living near the Kentucky River to take necessary precautions.

Lock 4, along the river in Frankfort, is completely under water.

The river is expected to crest at 38.1 feet at noon Tuesday.

That's about eight feet above flood stage.

Frankfort saw nearly five inches of rain over the weekend.

Meanwhile, some areas of Garrard County also saw extensive damage.

The Camp Nelson RV Park was particularly hard hit. Pictures taken there show a house nearly underwater.

Some campers near the Old 27 Bridge are also stranded.
