Woman Charged With Stabbing Boyfriend

A Lexington woman is in jail charged with stabbing her boyfriend late Tuesday night in Lexington.

The stabbing happened at an apartment on Elm Tree Lane.

Police say after being stabbed, the male victim walked to a store at the corner of Elm Tree Lane and Sixth Street where he collapsed.

Police took Lydia Gibson, 22, in for questioning at the scene and later charged her with assault.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

Police say his injuries don't appear to be life threatening.
