Saturday will mark a somber anniversary folks in one Kentucky county. It will mark one year since a deadly tornado ripped through.
An EF-3 tornado hit Madison County on May 8, 2009.
The Kirksville community was the hardest hit. Two people there lost their lives when the trailer they were in was thrown into a pond.
The tornado also caused millions of dollars in damage.
Many living in a hard hit neighborhood, behind Kirksville Elementary School, are still rebuilding a year later.
It's common to hear that people have just moved back into a home after building back what the tornado took down.
Some people rebuilding their homes told us they're still hagging with insurance companies, hoping to get them to cover the cost of the damage.
