Teenager Pleads Not Guilty To Charges In Connection With Deadly Crash

Thursday, a Lexington teenager facing charges in a crash that killed a 14-year-old boy appeared in court.

Police charged a passenger in the car, 18-year-old David Childress with five counts of wanton endangerment.

Police say Childress let the victim, 14-year-old Larry Chowning III, drive the car.

Police say Chowning lost control of the car which ran off Bryan Station Road and hit several fences.

Childress plead not guilty to all of the charges against him.

The judge then set a preliminary hearing for September 21.
