He thought he was talking to a teenage girl on the Internet, it turns out he was chatting with police. Now, a Lexington man is in trouble with the law.
35-year-old William Pittman is charged with unlawful use of an electronic device to solicit sex with a minor.
Investigators arrested Pittman on Wednesday after an on-line sting.
Police say Pittman had conversations with a 14-year-old girl about meeting for sex It turns out the girl was actually a state police officer.
Pittman entered a not guilty plea in court on Thursday.
