FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Two Kentucky schools will be honored for
completing the highest level of Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools
aimed at research and improvement of sustainability and health.
Wingo Elementary School in Graves County and Henry Clay High
School in Fayette County will be honored at the Kentucky Green and
Healthy Schools third annual Youth Summit on Thursday in Frankfort.
The "Model Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools" plaque is given
to schools that have completed a rigorous program of research and
school improvement in the areas of sustainability and health.
Another 29 schools will receive certificates for joining the
program in 2010 or for attaining various levels of achievement.
