Gas station robbed at gunpoint

The search is on for the man police say robbed a central Kentucky gas station at gunpoint.

The robbery happened just before 11 Tuesday night at the Speedy Mart on East Main Street in Frankfort.

Frankfort Police say a man, armed with a blue steel revolver, entered the store and demanded money.

During the robbery, police say the suspect pointed the gun at three employees and two customers inside the store at the time.

Police say the man then pushed one of the employees down, then forced another to open the cash register.

The suspect then got an undetermined amount of money, then ran off toward Schenkle Lane.

Police say the suspect is a black man, around 5'8" to 5'10" tall, with a medium build. Police say he was wearing dark colored shorts, a dark hooded sweatshirt, and a dark mask.
